Apparently, I only get the itch to blog when I’m talking about babies! My last post was nearly a year ago and about my cousin’s baby boy. We have had a busy year and I plan on keeping up better on here with our goings-on. I’m sure my parents would like me to continue. š Today, I am excited to share the news that I am going to be an Aunt! My little niece will be here before we know it and I cannot wait to spoil her rotten. That’s what Aunts are for, right?
A couple of weeks ago we had a shower for my sister-in-law to celebrate the little one and it was such a blessed time with friends and family. I was in charge Ā of the decorations and in my typical fashion, it took forever and a day to get them done. Out of necessity, I started planning and working on everything back in January. (It can be difficult to fit time in for crafting! ) I put my Cricut Expression to work using several cartridges, including Flower Shoppe, Baby Shower and the butterfly from Cake Seasonal Sampler. Ā Several of the decor items will also be used in Baby’s nursery and I used colors that went with the crib bedding. Ā Having two boys, I REALLY enjoyed making all the girly flowers and butterflies.
We are thrilled to see our family grow and I know my Brother and Sister-in-law will be wonderful parents. Baby Girl is already loved so much and as the Psalmist wrote “Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from Him.” Psalms 127:3 (NLT)
- The butterflies found a sweet place to land!
- An easy, low-key shower game.
- My original rhyme for the game š
- Helping Momma out!
- I used rolled up diapers tied together with a pretty ribbon for the bases of the decorative signs. They will not go to waste! š
- I had so much fun mixing and matching papers for the banner with Baby’s name.
- I made sweet mints and chocolates for favors. Each tag was embossed with “Thank You” on my handy Cuttlebug.
- Baby’s mobile with fluttering butterflies.
- A simple sign designed from the Baby Shower Cricut cartridge.
- The glowing Mommy to Be. š
