A little gravy…

Well, it’s been about three weeks since my last post and obviously there have  been A LOT of changes for our little family in that time. That last week in the old apartment, I was not motivated to cook or clean! For someone who vacuums religiously everyday, it was quite the departure from my normal routine. Continue reading »

Lego Heads

This past Christmas Legos invaded our home. Both boys enjoy playing with Legos and knowing their Daddy and Uncle’s enthusiasm for them, I guess they will never stop thinking little plastic bricks are pretty darn cool.  Junior delights in  the building process and JD does what three year olds do best – he’s an expert demolisher. We Fit Right In

Last week my Mother-in-law came down for a week-long visit. While she was here it was almost like a “stay-cation” for the boys and me. One of the best parts of homeschooling is being able to take time off from our usual studies and have mid-week field trips! 🙂 Unfortunately, this is my husband’s busy time at work so he missed out on a lot of the fun. We had a lovely day at the beach, shopping, a bowling outing and probably one of the most enjoyable days was spent at the Jacksonville Zoo. Continue reading »

Feeding the Hungry

Meet Henry.

Henry is hungry.

 Henry

The last several days have been dreary and chilly. The boys and I had barely stepped outdoors and we were all going just a little bit stir crazy. To combat impending craziness, (one of us was oh so close to being there!) we decided to do something worthwhile and feed our hungry neighbors. Aren’t they lovely? Continue reading »

So Thankful…

On  this Thanksgiving Eve….

I am so thankful to be back in Georgia and closer to our loved ones. Even today, we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Grandmomma and Granddaddy and my younger brother, and thankfully they have a shorter drive here than most of the other places we have lived. I love having company and cooking for everyone!

I am so thankful to live in such a beautiful area. I love being outdoors and living here provides many opportunities to get outside! One of the nicest things about being in the South is the weather, at least during the Fall, Winter and Spring. 🙂

I am so thankful for my husband. We have been together for over ten years and I hope to have another fifty. We love each other and we put up with each other. 🙂

I am so thankful that my hard-working husband has a job. Although we are making sacrifices for me to be a stay-at-home mom, I am thankful that my husband will do everything that he can to make this work and support me at home as well. Not everyone ENJOYS being a homemaker, but I can honestly say that I do.

I am so thankful for our two healthy boys. They are AWESOME. Yeah, they drive me nuts on a daily basis, but I wouldn’t trade being a mother for anything. Watching them learn and grow and hearing their sweet “I love yous” brings me so much joy.

Most importantly, my life would be incomplete without a relationship with my Heavenly Father. When I think about my Saviour and everything He has done, I cannot help but feel gratitude and love!
